How to make money in maple story?

Depends on which server you're on. On the server I play, which is windia. Fames go for 15k-30k each. (Actually you could set up your own price) If you set it too high, no one will buy from you.
Cons: You can scam someone, or someone can scam you.

One easy way to make money is to do quests. There are certain quests that give really nice equips/scrolls. One good quest would be the Cleaning Up the Eos Tower Quest. (Although it's for lvl 40+)

The best thing to do in order to make money is to limit your potion usage. Instead of buying pots and continuously training, just grab a seat and heal. Then go train again. This conserves the amount of hp/mana elixirs that you use.

Monster drops are also good. If you train in a place long enough, sure enough you'll be able to find equipment. Or if you're lucky even scrolls.

Very useful. Especially when you're lvl 40+ since you cannot buy equipment in stores anymore. They only go up to lvl 40. By then you'll need to use basilmarket or search Free Market for your gear. (Be aware that FM has a lot of ridiculous prices -_-). Once you get a few mill. Determine what you want to merchant. Such as Glove atk scrolls. If you see a cheaper one. Even if it's just 100k. Go for it. If you are able to sell it it's 100k profit. Buy Low Sell High would be the concept for merchanting when you have enough to buy some scrolls.

Personal Experience: Since we're talking about a rogue...Expect high prices for everything. Including claws/scrolls/equips. One of the reasons i quit being a sin was because of the ridiculous prices.

Sins/Bandits are one of the most popular class in maplestory.
